Birthday at the Aquarium

We were lucky enough to be able to spend Hakeem's birthday together. He flew in the day before his birthday so we spent the afternoon at the Downtown Aquarium. (For those of you lucky enough to have been to the Monterey Bay Aquarium...this would be a disgrace.)

Look No boxes!

Here is the new furniture. Chester loves it. We will be getting new baby kitty in a few weeks. A co-worker found kittens a few weeks ago and their mother has now passed away. So when the kittens are about 8 weeks old Chester will find a new friend. :) Sure hope that goes over well...

Galveston Island

During Hakeem's last visit, we spent a day out on Galveston Island. We had fun times flying a kite, playing in the water, and eating awesome seafood!

Hakeem wanted to see how long the string on the kite was....it took me almost an hour to get the thing wound back in!

It was Hakeem's first time in the Gulf of Mexico. He couldn't resist the water and later got in.

Hakeem was very excited to go to a Live NBA game.

Here we are at the Houston Rockets vs. Indiana Pacers game.

Thankfully the Rockets won that night. And now they have made it to the playoffs!
