LONDON, May 2007

I had a great time in London. It was definitely too short of a visit with Hakeem, but great to see him nonetheless.

This is in Brighton, on the shoreline of the English Channel

The pier is in the background, which had a decent sized amusement park and arcade. The pier is made of steel not wood. I still find it hard to believe that all that heavy stuff is just sitting on top....

Here I am at Buckingham Palace, they had just done the changing of the guards, no ceremony due to the rain.

This was taken from inside a capsule of the London Eye. Again it was raining so the view wasn't magnificent or anything but it was still cool to be able to see everything at once. The River Thames is in the background.

I'm so EXCITED!

I just felt like I had to get this out...
I AM SOOOO EXCITED TO BE GOING
TO SEE HAKEEM!!!!

I will be there in London in less than 17 hours from now and I cannot wait!

Oh yeah!

I forgot to mention that we are renting a car while I am there...should be an adventure driving on the other side of the road!

London Here I Come!

In case I have not told everyone (I seriously doubt it), I will be going to London over Memorial Day weekend (a total of 4 full days there) to visit Hakeem. He and I are looking forward to it very much. Hakeem has told me it will be more romantic than I could ever imagine, which of course makes any girl giddy with excitement. :)

The only definate plans are to take a hop-on-hop-off tour of the city on an open-air double decker bus (I am really excited to ride the big red busses!), to ride the London Eye (pictured at top)

and to see the changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace. If we get anything else in than it will be a bonus, but really we just want to spend time together.

Of course I will take a TON of pictures and post some when I return. Did you know that a traditional English breakfast includes baked beans (on top of your scrambled eggs)?
