Something has changed...

So I showed up in Moscow to meet with my advisor...and there was no yelling, no arguing. He was a completely different person than he was two years ago. After discussing my summer intern project we discussed what needed to be done with my thesis (which I will say that he had no idea what we (I) had accomplished while I was there in December last year!) and then he left. I am doing the background research on the basin and stratigraphy and then will meet with him again on Monday. Then three weeks on my own writing, while he is vacationing in Europe. I will take a week of that time and go to two student job fairs in Laramie and Houston. Hopefully, I will find a job before I finish my thesis.

I will say that I am enjoying the time here in Spokane with Jenn. It is nice to reconnect with her after so many years apart. Her little girl Sophia, is adorable and strong-willed. Jenn has another one (It's a boy!) on the way, so there is no drinking going on over here. But when you are with friends who needs alcohol? (Although, it is fun at times...)

Hi Kim,
Hope you are having HUGE success writing. I have to say I hear you on the love of microbrew lands... I have been enjoying the many places here in Denver!! Can't wait to get you out here to cruise around. Our new house is great and James has been sooo helpful. We are doing great (Beck too!).
We miss you love, keep up the great work and just imagine; it is over within this summer and left for good!! Can't wait to see you soon ~JKB
